| FIND OUT In Blackpool the project has aimed at putting art into libraries especially visual art, drama and performance art. We have encouraged young people including disabled people to display their work in libraries with outstanding mutual benefits. We want to extend the use of libraries as centres for drama. We broke the ice with Murder in the Library which was a drama performed in a library setting and attracted large audiences. The Community Theatre produced Wicked Words which was devised to show the power of language. It was a mesmerising performance and confirmed our view that libraries can lend themselves to outstanding dramatic performances. In addition we have had performance artists such as Levi Tafari and Attila the Stockbroker. Both rivetting performers. |
