Lush Leicester Presents: Poetry and Perfume Workshop

Lush Cosmetics & Gorilla Perfume experts are hosting a creative writing class within the Leicester Lush shop. Participants will be asked to create poems, taking inspiration from the scents and stories of Gorilla perfumes.

World Recipes

The library is the focal point in this diverse area and we encourage all local communities to come and celebrate their cultures through food. The session will be for everyone to look at ER Images (81)recipe books from the lifestyles represented in the area, which includes Polish, Indian, English, Turkish and other cultures from all over the world. Communities can integrate and socialise through their love of food and books on display in the library.

This event is suitable for all ages, and is free, so turn up and enjoy!

OM IN HE – Poetry Workshop and Exhibition

This exhibition showcases poetry and artwork by individuals who have been personally ER Images (41)affected by mental health. We want to invite as many people as possible to join this event to provide them with our ‘OM IN HE’ poetry book to highlight our campaign against compulsion and support of freedom of choice. Attendees will have the opportunity and resources to write their own poems with support from Rob Gee and another local poet.

This event is suitable for all ages, and is free, but booking is recommended by visiting recovery4wellbeing.org or by calling 0116 253 2073. Tickets will also be available on the door.

Read a Story, Make a Story: Make a Puppet Arts and Crafts Workshop

Come and make a ‘shoe box theatre’ with back drops and stickpuppets. Make up a story to perform. Give your imagination the freedom to go wild and create a story with weird and ER Images (2)wonderful characters. You are only limited by your imagination!We will be using shoe boxes, card, lolly sticks, a variety of papers with interesting finishes, glues, felt tips, glitter, sequins, fabric and wallpaper.
